Enjoy a unique garden experience on the scenic northern coast of Norway. In Gjerøyhamn, you’ll be welcomed by Jonny Losvik, who has transformed his childhood home into a vibrant garden and homestead — all built with simple tools and a wheelbarrow.
The old sheriff’s residence has been turned into a small museum where you can learn about the local history. In the restored barn, you’ll find an exhibition and sale of regional arts and crafts. The garden itself is a peaceful space full of flowers, winding paths, and personal touches.
The ticket also includes a short boat ride across the strait between Lyngvågen and Gjerøyhamn. If you're arriving by ferry or express boat, there's a pleasant 2.3 km walk from the landing point to the boat crossing.
Children under 16 enter for free. Open daily from June 23 to August 17, between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Visitors arriving by private boat can dock at the guest pier. The walk from the ferry/express boat stop to the boat crossing point is 2.3 km.
