Selsøyvik Handelssted is one of the oldest and most distinguished places to stay along the Helgeland coast.

Welcome to Selsøyvik – a living trading post on the Helgeland coast.

Trade has been carried out in Selsøyvik since the 17th century, and many a sailor has sought shelter in this peaceful bay ever since Ole Hartvig Hvid was granted a license to operate an inn in 1777.

In the historic shop building from 1856, we offer a wide selection of groceries, and we continue to welcome coastal travelers as guests, both in our accommodation and in the guest harbor.
Idyllically located along the coastal shipping route, Selsøyvik is the perfect base for exploring the Helgeland coast. Here, you can enjoy a cup of coffee in historic surroundings, play a round of disc golf, or take a day trip to well-known destinations such as Rødøyløva and Myken.

Everyone is welcome here – locals and visitors alike, summer and winter.
